Biographies

Dr. Ta-Te Lu is currently Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Information Engineering and Dean of the College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Chien Shin University of Science and Technology, Taiwan. He is also the instructor for Cisco Certified Academy instructor (CCAI), and Fluke Certified Cabling Test Technician (CCTT). He received his B.S. degree from Fu Jen University in 1989, M.S. degree from Chung Cheng Institute of Technology in 1991, and Ph.D. degree from National Central University, Taiwan in 2004, all in electrical engineering.

Dr. Ta-Te Lu served in the Chung-Shan Institute of Science and Technology from 1991 to 1997. His work centered on radio frequency environment simulation, network management, and efficient network design algorithms. From 1997 to 2004, he was a Chief Network Service and Instructor in Computer & Network Center, Nanya Institute of Technology. He was a Chief of the Network Service in the Computer & Network Center in Ching Yun University from 2004 to 2008. He was the Chairman in the Department of Computer Science & Information Engineering in Ching Yun University from 2008 to 2011.

Dr. Ta-Te Lu contributed to over 50 refereed technical papers published in international journals and conferences. His current interests are in the area of indoor positioning, wireless communication and network applications, image/video coding, multimedia network applications, and network security.
